Alma and Pierre were married on 12 April 1914 in Springvale, York County, Maine. Rita had six brothers and sisters and eleven half-brothers and sisters.
Rita was married twice. Rita married Albert Roy of Saint Raphael, PQ on 04 January 1947 in Springvale, Maine. He died in Biddeford in 1987. Rita later married Adelard "Gerard" Boutin of Saint Raphael, PQ, on 23 January 1993. He died in Biddeford in 2004.

Four step-sons: David Boutin and his wife Vickie of Arundel, Maine; Armand Boutin of New Hampshire; Roland Boutin of Wells, Maine; Gerald Boutin of Biddeford, Maine; two step-daughters: Jeanne Blais and her husband Victor of Gray, Maine; Claudette Raymond and her husband Simon of PQ; two brothers: Oscar Couture of Sanford, Maine; Phillip Couture of Nashua, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren, Alexie Russ, Ariana Franklin, Alana Franklin, Elizabeth Roy-Keith, Daniel Roy, Michael Lang, Robert Lang and Rhonda Burrell, nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
