On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2007, after a day of great happiness, surrounded by family and good food. Paul D. Duncan, age 66, suffered a massive heart attack, and he left his earthly body, riddle with disease and limitations, to be whole and well again in the presence of God. Paul was born on December 27, 1940 in Marietta, Ohio, and he grew up in Dayton, Ohio.
He joined the Army after high school and he was stationed at Fort Benning where he fell in love with the South. The Southern cuisine proved irresistible for Paul and he made Georgia his adopted home for most of his life.
Before a stroke forced him into retirement, Paul worked as a service supervisor for Standard Graphics where he serviced and repaired printing equipment.
Family visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec 30, 2007 from 4-7PM at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. A Celebration of Paul's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Chapel of Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Carter Center, One Copenhill, 453 Freedom Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30307. Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville, Hwy., Lawrenceville.
