Avis married Fred Denburger on Sep 23, 1925 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. They had the following children:

Obituary: Avis DeLong Denburger, 91, of Oskaloosa died of pneumonia Thursday at the Mahaska County Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, with burial in Coal Creek Cemetery in Jefferson Township of Mahaska County.

Mrs. Denburger was born in Oskaloosa and taught in rural schools in Mahaska County for many years. From 1981 to 1996, she was manager of Norwich Apartments in Oskaloosa. She was a member of First Christian Church and Esther Circle of Christian Women's Fellowship.

She is survived by a daughter, Lois Bainbridge, and twin sons, Leland and Leo, all of Oskaloosa; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin today with family present from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Coal Creek Cemetery Association or her church.
