Harry A. Deaver, retired merchant, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1949, at his home on South Main Street. He was born in Lexington February 19th, 1878 the son of C. E. and Rebecca Deaver, and lived in Lexington all of his life. He was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian church.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the grave in the Lexington cemetery by his pastor, Dr. J. J. Murray, assisted by Rev. D. T. Lauderdale.
Mr. Deaver is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Morris Deaver and two children by his first wife, Mrs. Emma Morris Deaver, who died March 24, 1921; Harry G. Deaver of Lexington and Mrs. Chester Siler of Natural Bridge. One brother and three sisters also survive: Will G. Deaver of Bond, Ky., Mrs. G. J. Deminick of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. R. I. Fitch and Mrs P. C. Garing both of Lexington. One grandchild, Buddy Siler, of Natural Bridge , also survives.
