|Death: ||Nov. 19, 1908|
There is no gravestone for Elizabeth in Round Point Cemetery, but according to her death record, she is buried here. If there ever was a gravestone for Elizabeth, it wasn't there when any of the previous readings of the cemetery were done.
Elizabeth's death record states that she was born in Indiana, but I think it's a strong possibility that she was born in Iowa. Elizabeth's father was Philip Loch Conley. Philip was married in Wapello County on July 1, 1856, and his wife's name on the marriage record was Juan Fernander Boyce.
Elizabeth married Charles H. Groger on November 8, 1884, in Ottumwa, Iowa. According to the marriage record, she was the daughter of Philip L. and V.(Boyce) Connelly; however, I have searched the Wapello County records thoroughly, and I believe Elizabeth's maiden name was actually spelled Conley. I have also seen her mother's name spelled several ways including Jone, Julia Ann (Boise) Conley, Joan F., Nancy, and Nan, but I believe her actual name was Juan. Elizabeth's sister Alla Hill is buried here in Round Point, and her brother Philip is buried in the Burns Cemetery.
Sometime between 1896 and 1901, Charles and Elizabeth Groger were divorced. Charles was married to Clara Blanchard in 1901, and on January 11, 1903, Elizabeth married Charles' half-brother William Abraham in Ottumwa.
