Nels G Wold, who died at his home in Stanley, Sunday morning August 19, from heart disease, after an acute illness of about two weeks, was buried Wednesday, August 22 from Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rev. Medilien officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
The deceased was born at Trondidhem, Norway, April 17, 1884. He came to this country at the age of 19 and first settled at Menomonie. He was married to Miss Ingaborg Wold in Menomonie in 1906. They moved to Stanley where they have been residents for the past 26 years. Mr. Wold was a beloved and respected citizen and a devoted husband and father and a loyal churchman. Mr. Wold was employed with the Northwestern Lumber Company at Stanley until that concern ceased operations. Eight children were born to this marriage. Two children preceded him in death. Six children with his widow survive namely, Annie, Mary, Emma, Leonard, Norma and George.
Those acting as pallbearers were Ole Fossum, Arnt Warner, Ole Gritdahl, John Steivang, A. C. Frinak and Louis Hanstad.
Those attended the funeral from here were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wold and children (Marlene Victor and Romaine), Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wold, Ole Wold, Mrs. Carrie Hage, Ingwald Wold and Mrs. Ole Wold and Mrs. Andrew Folstand and son (Carl), and Mrs. George Nelson.
