Death of an Old Citizen
"Mr. Joel Kimball died at his home near this place last Sunday morning. May 28th, aged 82 years, 9 months and 11 days. He was born in Randolph County, this State, and was a grandson of Maj. Buckner Kimball of Revolutionary fame. Joel Kimball has 16 children born to him; two died young, one died at the age of 29, and 13 survivie him, the eldest being 65 years of age and the youngest being 26."
