Henry J. Miller
Henry "Hank" J. Miller, 69, of Lower Makefield Township, Pa., died Thursday, March 25, 2004.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., and raised in Riverdale, N.Y., he has been a Lower Makefield resident for over 30 years.
Mr. Miller was a manufacturing executive with Penco Products, Inc. in Oaks, Pa., until his retirement in 2000. He was previously employed by Hussmann-Victory, Philadelphia Steel and Wire and CF&I (Roebling Steel). After retirement, Mr. Miller was a volunteer at St. Mary Hospital Emergency Room in Langhorne, Pa. He was also an avid supporter of Bucks County Special Olympics and a lifelong New York Giants football fan.
He was a 1956 graduate of New York University School of Engineering, as well as a member of the NYU varsity basketball team. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Stateside, achieving the rank of Captain.
He was the son of the late Helen (King) and Henry Miller of Riverdale, N.Y. Mr. Miller is the beloved husband of 40 years of Marion Dolan Miller. He is the loving father of Susan of Hoboken, N.J., Henry and his wife Thea of Pottstown, Pa., Stephen of Lower Makefield Township, and Maureen of New York City. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Betty Young of Rock Hill, S.C., Joan Hagan of Carmel, N.Y.; his brother, Duane (Buddy) of Colts Neck, N.J.; cousin Jean McMaster of Wall, N.J.; and grandchildren, Henry, Julia and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, March 28th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, Pa. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at FitzGerald-Sommer. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Miller's memory can be made to the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, 16 Penn Tower, 3400 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, in honor of Dr. David Vaughn.
