Bill was a railroad engineer for 40 years and was involved in numerous business enterprises in Northern California. In 1970 he and his wife moved to a farm in Loomis, CA, where they lived for 34 years. He was active in service and fellowship groups, 32nd Degree Mason, Odd Fellows, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and SIRS. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the US and Canada. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Ruby, as well as his son Thomas. He was survived by his sons Jack, Joseph and Jerry Franklin; his sisters Genevive Huff, Martha Graham, Emma Edgett, and Henrietta Sharp; 10 grandchildren, 11 g-grandchildren, and 3 g-g-grandchildren.
