Birth: Oct. 10, 1877
Calhoun County
Alabama, USA
Death: Nov. 23, 1966
Hale County
Texas, USA

Daughter of James Monroe Shannon. and Mary Elizabeth Thrasher. Buried in Portales Cemetery, Portales, Roosevelt County, New Mexico, USA.

Oddly, many family members knew Gramma Totten as Clora. It was not until I was researching the family history when I came across her death certificate through the LDS site, Clora was Cleopatra Shannon Totten! I sent a copy of the death certificate to my Aunt Erma, who is also very interested in the family genealogy. For a while there, it was like my Aunt Erma and I shared a secret about Gramma Totten!

As Christmas nears, I long for my family. Times have changed and families are not as close as they were when I was a child. I never knew you, but I am learning you from my aunt Erma Dean Hahn Murphey, one of your granddaughters. One sweet day ...
