Sarah (Dawson) Sniadajewski, 30, of 386 Wilson St., Amherst, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital after complications from heart transplant surgery.
She was born Aug. 14, 1978, in Stevens Point, the daughter of James and Deb (Fedie) Sniadajewski. She graduated from Pacelli High school in 1996. Her marriage to Shawn Dawson took place on Sept. 16, 2000, in Plover. The couple later divorced.
Sarah was a member of the second chance support group which included people waiting for or recipients of organ and tissue donations. Sarah enjoyed knitting, baking, photography, taking care of animals, writing poetry and stories, bible studies and spending quality time with family and friends. Sarah was a big advocate of organ and tissue donation and Congenital Heart Defects. A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.
People enjoyed Sarah's smile, selflessness and sweet disposition; she was loved and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank everyone who supported and encouraged Sarah on her journey.
Survivors include her parents, James and Deb Sniadajewski of Amherst; one sister, Rachel (Luis) Castillo of Milwaukee; one brother, John Sniadajewski of St. Paul, Minn; maternal grandparents, Paul & Carol Fedie of Durand; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
