Bob was a 1951 graduate of Worthington-Jefferson High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff's Department from 1970 until 1983 when he began a new role as Supervisor, working for the Marion County Family and Social Services Administration, retiring in 1998.
Bob is survived by his children, Lisa (Rick) Pruett, Melanie Hinman and Robert "Bobby" (Shelly) Hinman; grandchildren, Bryan, Erin and Chad; 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Bill (Maxine) Hinman and step-brother, John D. Jones.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean (Hays) Hinman; and step-sister, Mary Nell Stahl.
