CARLSON ARIVES IN THIS
CITYŚWED FROM WOUNDS RECEIVED
FIGHTING IN
FRANCE Ś FUNERAL TOMORROW.

The body of the late Private Francis
James Carlson, who lost his life
while, serving with the American Expeditionary
Forces in Frances, arrived
in this city at 8:20 o'clock yesterday
morning from Hoboken, N. J.
Private Carlson served in the 6th
regiment, U. S. Marines. He enlisted
in Seattle, Washington, January 24,
1917 and died from wounds received
in action, in October, 1917. He was
22 years old when killed.
Surviving are his father, Frank
Carlson of this city; two sisters, Mrs.
O. H. Manning of Duke Center and
Mrs. A. Odine of Warren, Ohio; and
one brother, Allie Carlson of this city.
The body was taken to Still's undertaking
establishment and later will be
removed to the State Armory where
brief funeral services will be held at
8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. At
nine o'clock funeral services will be
held at St. Bernard's church. Burial
will take place at St. Bernard's cemetery
and the services will be conducted
by members of Bradford Post, American
Legion, and the John C. Roche
Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
