Sue Doss, 67, passed away on March 2, 2008, in Wichita Falls. A Private Service was held by the family in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Sue was born Oct. 6, 1940, to Delbert Garmon Sr., and Margarette (Spangler) Garmon in Wichita Falls. She was an accomplished poet and artist winning several contests in her earlier years. Sue has a Peace Poem on the walls of NATO along with many other national and international poets. She also had a poem published in the National Library of Poets Book "Distinguished Poets of America" entitled "Questions Brother Jonathon?" She had 64 individual poems printed in various anthologies from 1987-1996 and she was listed in the NLP Most Notable Women of 2000. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. She is survived by her children, William Alexander Skinner III, Carla Doss, and Kathryn Doss; two sisters and two brothers; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
