Carolyn taught VAC [Vocational Adjustment Classes] classes at Caprock High School, Barbara Dilliard taught the same thing at Amarillo High School and I taught the same thing at Tascosa High School. When we went to our VAC Conferences in the summer we always shared a room. We just ordered a fold away bed to go along with the two double beds in our room. Carolyn served on the state board of VAC teachers for many years. We would meet often for lunch during the school year also. We were great friends. When Barbara's husband retired from teaching at W.T. in Canyon they moved to the Houston area. They planned to return to Florida, their home state, some day.

Carolyn, Your friendship means so much to me and it hasn't stopped now that you are in Heaven with our Lord. I treasure the time you, Barbara and I were able to get together. Good friends like the two of you are hard to find. I miss you.
