Six Killed in Accident Near Wamego
Wamego, Kan. (AP)-Six persons were killed today in the head-on collision of a car and an automobile transport truck on a rain-swept stretch of U.S. 24 three miles west of Wamego.

The dead, all occupants of the car, were identified as:
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Coon, Bonner Springs, Kan.: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Berryman, Cross Timbers, Mo.: T. A. Berryman, Kansas City, Kan.: and Pamela Ford, 10, Indianapolis, Ind. Coon was 58, Henry Berryman, 65. Other ages were unavailable.

Henry Berryman and T. A. Berryman were brothers of Mrs. Coon. The child was a granddaughter of the Bonner Springs couple.
Marvin Huntoon, 31, Wayne, Mich., driver of the empty truck, suffered severe shock and was taken to a Wamego hospital for further examination.

The accident occurred on a straight stretch of highway. Neighbors of the Coon family said Coon, his wife and other family members had visited Cross Timbers several days ago and decided then to drive to Denver. [Note: to visit with brother, John]

Two granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. Coon were visiting the couple for the summer. Sherry Ford, 13, a sister of the dead girl, remained at Bonner Springs.
