Ferdinand Schroeder, a retired farmer, passed away at 8:30 o'clock last evening at his home, after an extended illness with asthma, lately complicated with pneumonia. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at two o'clock at the German Methodist Church by the Rev. William F. Elske. Burial will follow in Pine Grove cemetery.
The deceased was born October 27, 1863,in the town of Rib Falls where he lived until a few years ago. He was united in marriage with Miss Marie Weber in the town of Rib Falls on November 12, 1885.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, August and Benjamin Schroeder of this city, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Baerenwald and Laura and Edna Schroeder of Wausau; two brothers, John Schroeder of the town of Rib Falls and William Schroeder of this city, and four sisters, Mrs. William Weber and Mrs. Ferdinand Weber of the town of Rib Falls and Mrs. Otto Haase and Mrs. Wm. Schlueter of Wausau.
