Florentina Hartman, wife of Peter Hartman and another of the older residents of this village passed away last Wednesday morning at the age of 68 years. She had suffered for a long time with diabetes and that is given as the immediate cause of her death. The funeral took place Saturday morning with a requiem Mass by Rev. Fintan Holzknecht, SDS and interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mrs. Hartman was a very pious Catholic and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and of the Christian Mother's Society with the latter of which, especially, she worked faithfully in carrying on the good work sponsored by them in the local parish. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, and adopted daughter, Mary, two sisters, Mesdames Mary Rhineland and Mrs. Agnes Suckowadi of this vicinity, a step-brother, Frank Schulz of Wausau and two cousins, John and Frank Hammerla of Sheboygan.

Mrs. Peter Hartmann died here on Wednesday, Feb. 20, as the result of heart trouble. Funeral services were held on Saturday of last week,with burial in the St. Gregory's church cemetery. The Rev. Fintan Holzknecht officiated. The deceased was born in Germany and came toSt. Nazianz twenty years ago. She is survived by her husband and one foster child, Mary. She was a member of the Christian Mother's Society,and the Third Order of St. Francis. Three brothers and three sisters also survive.
