Cleo Key McPherson, born September 1, 1905 in McGregor, Texas passed away Sunday, July 22, 2001 at the age of 95. Mrs. McPherson was a resident of El Paso since 1942.
She was a member of First Baptist Church for 59 years and also taught Sunday school there. Mrs. McPherson was past president of the YWCA and past president of the Delta Gamma Alumnae Association.
Preceded in death by her husband, H.L. "Mac" McPherson, grandson David Lawrence Stone, her parents William Jordan Key and Dora Birchfield Key, and sister Leo Haun.
Survived by her loving family, daughter Carol A. Stone and her husband Harry of El Paso, granddaughter Julie Prilliman and her husband David of El Paso, and great grandson John David Prilliman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2001 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church, Ford Chapel Pastor Mike Woods officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bill Pippin, Jim Tritton, James Heard, George Von Tungeln, David Faust and Jim Edge. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Challengers Sunday School Class at Coronado Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Room at First Baptist Church, the YWCA or a favorite charity.
