Mrs. Sarah Alice Moreland, a native of Illinois, a former resident of Redlands and Yucaipa for 33 years and currently was living in Santa Barbara for the last three and a half years, died Wednesday in Santa Barbara at the age of 89. She was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Iva. M. Neeley of Santa Barbara, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Little Chapel of the Palms with Dollie E. Dunlap, spiritualist minister, officiating. Interment will be at Montecito Memorial Park with officers and member of the Yucaipa Rebekah lodge officiating at the graveside. Emmerson's Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
from ANCESTRY.COM, Sarah Alice Parkhurst Moreland was born in Mason City, Illinois on July 18, 1861 to Isaac Albert Parkhurst of New Jersey and his second wife, Matilda M. Pritchard of Canada, one of their four children. She married a Mr. Bowman and had two children and later married a Mr. Moreland. She died in Santa Barbara, California on November 22, 1950.
