Mrs. Adah R. Harper
Mrs. Adah R. Harper of Alexandria passed away on Friday, Sept, 11, 1953, at 7:45 p.m. in the Newingham Nursing Home in Huntingdon. She had been in failing health for the past two years.
She was born in Alexandria on Dec. 12, 1874, a daughter of John R. and Maggie (Brenneman) Leffard. She was united in marriage to Walker Harper on Aug. 28, 1930. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1949.
Surviving are the following nephews: Ralph Rishel, Harrisburg; Frank Lester Rishel, Mount Union and Clyde Rishel, Port Royal, S. C.
Her only sister, Mrs. James Rishel preceded her in death on August 28, 1937.
The deceased was a member of the Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Win-A-Chum Sunday School Class of that church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 2:30 p. m. in the Grove funeral home in Alexandria, with the Rev. John E. Winter officiating. Interment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday until time for services on Monday.
