Mrs. H. Wyman Died Monday
The community was saddened by the death Monday morning, at the St. Andrew's Hospital in Bottineau of Mrs. H.D. Wyman. Mrs. Wyman had been in ill health for the past several months.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Wyman home in Brander township and at the First Presbyterian Church in Westhope. Services were conducted by the Rev. Robt. Carey. Interment was in the Westhope cemetery beside her husband who died several years ago.

Mrs. H.D. Wyman was born Lena Von Readen, Nov. 4, 1874 at Franklin, Minn. She attended elementary school near Lonetree, Minn.

In 1899 she filed a homestead claim on land in Brander township and it was on this land that the Wyman home was later built.

She was united in marriage to Henry DeForest Wyman at Morgan, Minn. On Oct. 23, 1900. To this union three daughters and three sons were born. One son, Cecil, died in 1927.

In the spring of 1902 the Wymans settled permanently in Brander township. Mrs. Wyman was a faithful member of the St. Pauls Presbyterian church and the Ladies Aid and Missionary Society. As fellow worker with her husband, mother of the family and mistress of the house she helped to make a country home that was an outstanding example of the emphasis on the best, and real things of life.

She leaves to mourn her absence, five children: Gladys of Westhope, Blanche (Mrs. Walter Sausker) of Maxbass, Lester and Verl of Westhope, and Helen (Mrs. Donald Hathaway) Beach; one brother, Anton Von Resden, Olympia, Wa., three sisters, Mrs. Lou Luddington, Maxbass, Mrs. Frank Henry, Olympia Wash., Mrs. Bert Henry of Westhope, 11 grandchildren and a host of neighbors and friends.
