Jimmy Gorrell age 77 of Newport passed away Friday , Feb. 11, 2011. He was a veteran of the U S Army. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Ruth Gorrell, parents Hugh Forrest (Dock) and Ethel Gorrell. He is survived by his sons Jimmy D. Gorrell and wife Anita, Danny Gorrell and wife Melissa Rollins, Donald C. Gorrell and wife Janice, Mike Gorrell and wife Chassidy all of Newport, daughter Evelyn Jane Frazier and husband Roy of Newport, sister Evelyn Gorrell of Newport, brother Charles Gorrell and wife Charlotte of Dandridge, 10 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Health and Hospice. Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Messer and Rev. Manson Lee officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday Feb. 13, 2011 at Manes Funeral Home.
