Roy Memory Hoag was born Nov. 5, 1902 in Perry, Kansas. He was born to Samuel Stephen Hoag and Martha Elizabeth Williams. He had a brother, Earl Hoag and a sister, Hazel Hoag White. He spent most of his life in Leavenworth, Kansas. He married Alice Julaney Leavitt, the daughter of George Washington Leavitt & Alice Mae Greenwood Leavitt in Kansas abt 1926. They had the following children, Roy Eugene Hoag, Robert William Hoag, Delores Hoag, James Donald Hoag, Dorothy Hoag and Richard Lee Hoag. Roy contracted TB and was placed in a institution for the remaindure of his life. During this time he and Alice were divorced. Roy died on March 4, 1966 in Lawrence, Kansas.
