PASCO. James Otis Pasco, 78, husband of Margaret (Kelly) Pasco of Franklin Square, New Britain, died Saturday (May 3, 1997), at New Britain General Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1919 in New Britain. Son of the late Clinton Henry Pasco and Emma Russell Allen Pasco, he attended local schools and New Britain High School. In World War II, he served with the Army Air Force Troop Carrier Command, 316th Troop Carrier Group, which earned nine battle stars in its two and one-half years overseas in North Africa, Sicily and England. He then attended Hillyer College, now the University of Hartford. He also attended Central Connecticut State College, now CCSU. He retired from the General Electric Company in Plainville after 30 years of service. His last assignment was with the Quality Control Department. While there, he was noted for his many contributions to its ''Suggestion Plan'' which earned him numerous awards. He also served many years as a Justice of the Peace. A loyal member of St. Joseph Church, he was one of its original lectors, serving about 30 years right up to the present with great pride. He also served on St. Joseph's Parish Council and was a former member of St. Joseph's Men's Club. Besides his beloved wife, Margaret, of 55 years, he is survived by a daughter, Marcia M. Pasco of Farmington. Four sons, James O. Pasco, Jr., of Arlington, VA, Edward C. Pasco of New Britain, Brian K. Pasco of West Hartford and John C. Pasco and his wife, Maryrose of New Britain. Eight grandchildren, Carl, Marisa, James III, Sarah, Nora, Brigid, Raymond and Margaret. Also a great-granddaughter, Angelina. He leaves two brothers, Russell A. Pasco of San Diego, CA, and the Reverend John C. Pasco of Dallas, TX. Two sisters, Eunice P. Crosby of Barre, VT and Carol p. Radil of New Britain. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Avis P. Pratt of New Britain. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 7, 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 195 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Friends may call at the Kenney-Luddy Funeral Home, 205 South Main St., New Britain, Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 195 South Main St., New Britain, CT 06051.
