IN LOVING MEMORY OF LITTLE MISS ALIVIA
Cherished daughter of Amanda Gibson and James Jim Dickson, adored sister of Jayden.
Alivia was described as a bubbly, happy and talkative little princess who enjoyed running around and loved to play with play doh and most of all, to play mommy. At a very young age, she already spoke in complete sentences and had an awesome vocabulary. She also loved dancing, singing and drawing, and of course, all the Princesses, Shrek and Scooby. Alivia was very loving and smart little girl and she will be deeply missed by everyone she knew and even by those who never got a chance to meet her in person.
Alivia battled courageously an incurable brain tumor, type DIPG for ten months. Alivia's journey was supported by over 38,400 followers on her facebook page Prayers for Alivia.
McLEAN — Alivia J. Gibson, 3, McLean, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 4, 2012) at her home.
"Lying in her mother's arms, our angel took her last breath. She is our hero, our inspiration and will continue to be until we are all reunited again. Alivia is back playing like a 3-year-old should, cancer-free, alongside our heavenly father. Our baby finally has her wings; fly high, baby girl!"
In addition to her parents and brother, Alivia is deeply missed by her grandparents Thomas and Tonja Gibson, Nancy and Ed Lenhardt, and Gary and Sandy Dickson, by her great-grandparents Johanna Snelling, Sandra and Charles Rongey and Pat and Jean Wright. She is also missed by her aunts and uncles Stephanie Gibson, Marie and Tom Emery, Tara Gibson and Andy (Amanda Park) Dickson, by her cousins Kayla, Brianna, Logan, Aliyah, Danielle, Brady and Beau, and by Karissa and Aubree, who were not only her cousins, but also her best friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Jameös Farnsworth, John J. Snelling, James Gibson and Daisy Gibson and Lowell and Geneva Dickson and a great-aunt Tina Quinn.
Alivia's celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Vale Community Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Ken Graham officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benefit for Alivia J. Gibson, in care of Prairieland Federal Credit Union, 416 Kays Drive, Normal, IL 61761. Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
My precious little Alivia;
You rest upon the stars.
As we gaze upon you;
We know one star is ours.
It shines oh so beautiful;
Just as you did on Earth.
One day Mom and Dad will be one;
For we too will leave this earth.
Your soul has reached Jesus;
To God we pray for this.
Alivia do one little thing;
Catch this great big kiss.
We will always love you!
