"Before you were even born, even named, many of you had parents and grandparents who prayed for you. At critical ages and stages, family and friends interceded on your behalf. The sum total of those prayers is your prayer genealogy...I know not everyone is fortunate enough to have inherited a prayer legacy from their parents or grandparents like I did, but you can leave a legacy for future generations. And it's the greatest legacy you can leave!" ~ noted on a Facebook posting

Absolutely, hands down the best Grandmother EVER! She loved all her foster children and their children so very much! I was devastated by the death of this sweet woman and her hubby. And so very honored to have inherited her sewing machine, mailed to me after her death by Grandpa Coffell. It is such a treasure family heirloom as I know she spent countless hours sitting at it creating items for her family and repairing clothes.

Name: Denice Blake
Comments: I'm Denice Blake from Oregon. My great grandfather was Albert Enoch Blomstrom. He married Anna Christina Johanson around 1835, probably in IL. They later moved out west to Fruitland ID. My grandmother, Elsie Marie graduated from high school there in 1915. She married Clarence Coffell and they lived most of their lives in Roseburg OR. I believe my grandmother had a brother named Ray, sisters named Eva and Edith. I believe there were 1 or 2 other siblings. Any info about these Blomstroms?

Name: Helen Murphy
Comments: I found this page while searching for information on the Clarence & Elsie Coffell family who lived in Roseburg, Oregon for so many years. They were the foster parents to my mother and I regarded them as my true 'Grandparents' while growing up. Would love to connect with Denice Blake who posted some information about them on this blog. Warmly, Helen of Tennessee

I have wonderful memories of you as the Grandparent to me and my siblings. You helped raise my mother as one of your many foster children and provided the best role model of what a Mother truly is. You are missed and loved more than words can say.
