Emily was the daughter of George and Alice Dean Thompson.
She met Eldon Cofer while attending Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
They were married on August 24 1924.

Beautiful in its quiet simplicity was the home wedding of Miss Emily Thompson and Mr. Eldon Cofer, which took place at thehome of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs F. Thompson, Corvallis, Oregon, the Rev. Mr. Reynolds officiating. Mr. Lester Cofer, brother of the groom, acted as best man and Miss Edna Thompson, sister of the bride , was maid of honor. A gown of white satin crepe simply made was worn by the bride. She carried a bouquet of pond lillies and roses. After the ceremony a reception was held at which only relative and close friends wee present. Eldon Cofer is well known in Klamath Falls , and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Cofer on North 7th Street. Mr. Cofer and his bride are graduates of O.A.C. They will make their home in Portland.
Three children were born to Emily and Eldon.

Glenn Eldon 1928-
Emily was a true homemaker in every sense of the word. A cook and seamstress. She was a member of College Women's Club in Berkeley. Both she and Eldon were members of the Northbrae Community Church. Emily was active in the Service League and Women's Auxiliary.
