Paul is survived by his wife, Mildred, daughter Mary Martin, son Paul & wife Becky, sisters Lorraine Inman & Pauline Wilkers, brothers, Phillip Davidson & Paralee, David Davidson & Jackie, Samuel Davidson & Relda, and grandchildren, Edwin Dale Franks, Jr. Dawn Nichole Davidson Wright, and Eric Richard Davidson.
The son of a minister, Paul was the third of nine children. There were six boys and three girls, with five of the boys following in their father's footsteps in the ministry.
Paul & Mildred met in 1941 at Paul's brother Martin Luther's church in Galveston, Texas. They were married on January 17, 1942 by Paul's father, Reverend O. L. Davidson. They had only been married 3 1/2 months when Paul, who was in the Navy, left to serve in WWII. He served his country in the war from 1942 to 1944. After he returned from the war their two children, Mary Gail and Paul Duane, were born.
Paul attended North Central Bible College for three years and a fourth year at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He received his Batchelor of Science degree in Education at East Texas State. He later attended the university of Houston and worked on his Master's degree.
During those years, Paul pastored churches in Minoch, Liberty, Humble, Greenville and Houston, Texas. Every church he pastored there was a building program. He either built the church new or remodeled it.
During his lifetime Paul worked in the electrical trade, taught school, pastored and evangelized. He retired at the age of 65. Even though he retired, he never ceased to have a Godly influence on those around him and those he met. He will be missed sorely by all who knew him.
