Hartford Herald, June 20, 1894
Edward Renfrow, one of the best citizens of the county, died at his home near Hines' Mill, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He had been afflicted for a number of years and had been a great sufferer. His remains were buried at the Fitzhugh cemetery near Sulphur Springs at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, Rev. G. J. Bean conducting the services. As large an assemblage of friends witnessed the burial as ever attended an occasion of the kind in the county, for being a man of splendid intelligence and strong personality, he had an extensive circle of friends who honored his memory.
He left surviving him a wife and four children, Mrs Dr S J Wedding and Messrs. Dudley, Byron and Will Renfrow.
Edward Renfrow was a good citizen, a man for whom everybody had respect. He had been a successful farmer and leaves quite an estate. He will be greatly missed from the community where he had lived so long.
The Herald extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
