Aileen Dwyer Diercks, 89, of Sandwich, IL, formerly of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 at Dogwood Health Care Center in Sandwich. She was born October 3, 1915 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of John and Mary (Hudson) Dwyer. She married William Edward Diercks on August 3, 1935 in Minneapolis. She was a member of National T.T.T. Society, and Eastern Star, and was director of Sweet Adelines at Eau Claire. She was church organist in Chippewa Falls, and also played piano for Evelyn Knight Dance Studio in Chippewa Falls. She was known for her great sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Burkhart Funeral Home in Sandwich with Rev. Ken Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, in Muscatine, IA. Memorials may be directed to DeKalb County Hospice or to the Salvation Army.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Ploger of Somonauk, IL; nine grandchildren, Debbie Sykora of Chippewa Falls, WI, Melanie Erce of Madison, WI, Buck Hebert of Chippewa Falls, Becky Denton and Rick Hart, both of Colorado, Will Ploger of Skokie, IL, Jared Ploger of Naperville, David Ploger of Burr Ridge, IL, and Lori Jensen of Des Moines, IA; 13 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters, Mary Elise, Zella-Marie Hebert, and Judith Ann Hart; one brother, Arthur Dwyer; and a twin sister, Irene Gregg.
