Malinda J. Barr Dead At Montgomery
Malinda J. Barr died at 8 o'clock this morning at her home in Montgomery, her death resulting after an illness of about one week. She was the widow of William J. Barr, a civil war veteran who died several years ago.
Mrs. Barr was born in Alfordsville Dec. 19, 1849, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allen and she was married to William J. Barr in 1866 and resided in Reeve townshop twenty years ago when they moved to Montgomery. She was a devoted member of the United Bethren church and was a woman respected by everyone.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Eliza E. Perkins, of Reeve township, J. E. Barr of Danville, Ill., Robert R. Barr, of Camp Lewis, Wash., J. W. Barr, of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Mrs. Lillie S. Rayhill of Winston Salem, N.C.
The funeral will likely take place Wednesday. Burial at Bethany cemetery.
