(MY NOTE: Arthur is the son of George Warren and his 2nd wife Lilly F. Laird Stoke. His mother died when he was only 3 days old, at which time his grandmother Eva Rosanna Laird and Lilly's cousin, Viola Jane Laird moved in to the household to help raise the children. Viola became the 3rd wife of George Warren Stoke. He died in 1916 and Viola raised all of his children as her own. Although she is technically Arthur's step-mother, she was the only mother he would have ever known.)
