| Birth: | Jul. 28, 1832 Vermont, USA | | Death: | Mar. 24, 1910 Saratoga Springs Saratoga County New York, USA |  Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. He was a lawyer in practice when commissioned in November 1861, a Captain in the 77th Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry. He with 77th Regiment saw action at Fair Oaks, Antietam, Fredericksburg and Gettysburg. On October 20, 1864, he was promoted Colonel in command of 77th Regiment serving till mustered out in December 1864. For gallant and meritorious service during the war he was brevetted Brigadier General of U.S. Volunteers on March 13, 1865. He returned to his profession and in 1868, was elected District Attorney of Saratoga County, New York.
