| Birth: | 1825 | | Death: | Oct. 15, 1863 |  Appointed lieutenant colonel of the 1st West Tennessee (later the 6th Tennessee) Cavalry by Colonel Fielding Hurst on November 13, 1862 and served as regimental commander during Hurst's absences. He died of 'disease' at Grand Junction, TN on October 15, 1863.
