Will E. Comer, son of Josephus and Harriet (Marine) Comer, was born December 9, 1868 in Porter County, Indiana. He was fifteen years old when his mother died. His father, younger brother, Ora, and he moved to Kansas. On August 14, 1887 Will married Janet Monroe, probably in Rice County, Kansas. By 1900, Will and his family were living in Goodland, Sherman County, Kansas where Will was a druggist, The next year he was a druggist in Denver, Colorado. By 1910, Will had gone into the real estate business. Janet (Monroe) Comer died May 17, 1949, and Will E. Comer died August 7, 1951.
