Wanda Lynn Thigpen Cannon of Dowling Park, FL., passed away on January 04, 2012 at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She was 37 years old. LaWanda was born on April 09, 1974 in Leesburg, FL., to Dale & Bonita Thigpen. She moved to Trenton with her parents and two brothers in 1985 where she attended Trenton schools.
She will forever be remembered by her four children, T.J. Brock of Mayo, FL., Jared Kinard of Lee, FL., Katie Cannon of Trenton, FL., & Austin Richburg of Trenton, FL., parents, Dale & Bonita Thigpen of Trenton, FL., two brothers, Dale Thigpen, Jr., of Bell, FL., & Glen Thigpen of Trenton, FL., grandparents, Thomas & Grace Thigpen of Madison, FL., & Laverta Hollie of Lee, FL., one nephew, Matthew Thigpen & three nieces, Lily, Cadence & Jolee Thigpen. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws & friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leonard Carter.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 09, 2012 at Bell Church of God with Reverend Donald King and Pastor Chan Perry officiating. Many of LaWanda's cousins served as pallbearers. She was laid to rest at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dale Thigpen, Jr. conducting the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Watson Funeral Home to assist the family with the expenses. Arrangements under the care of Watson Funeral Home, 426 W. Wade Street, Trenton, FL.
