Born abt. 1793, William Clonts (Clontz) was a farmer in the Chesterfield area of Burke County. He was the husband of Mary Polly Clark Clontz and father of 10 children. His third child, Susan A.Clontz, married my husband's ggg grandfather, Ephraim M. Lane.
