Mrs. Cordie Mae Elliott Shelton, 98, went to be with her Lord at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Danville, VA.

Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Howard Elliott and Serelza Wells Elliott.

She was married to the late Emile L "Buck" Shelton, who died on May 12, 1992.

Survivors include a daughter Emily McElfresh of Miami, FL, a sister Erma Motley of Celebration, FL, six grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by two sisters Lucille Hayden and Iris Shelton, five brothers Calvin Elliott, Curtis Elliott, Cecil Eliott, Hassell Elliott and Van Elliott, Sr.

Funeral services were held from the Graveside at Highland Burial Park.

Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel served the Shelton family.
