PLEASE READ THE FAQ! NO ONE CAN LINK SIBLINGS. SAME FOR PARENTS -TO- CHILDREN. Memorials link to parents and spouses (Only one link per couple- so look at which spouse has the attached link, through the edit button; sometimes it's the groom, sometimes its the bride. )

I just started looking into my family tree, but was fortunate enough to have other family members who were interested in the task before me. My family is mostly from the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area and I'm eager to learn as much as I can about them.

FAMILY NAMES : Borkowski, Gardner, Kagler, Lesawicz, McAfee, Mulherin, Smurl, Tingley, Wasilewski, Yanovitch

PET PEEVE : Burial Unknown. This site is FIND a GRAVE, and even though its data base is a great genealogical resource, populating it with burial unknowns is not helpful. If you know where a person is laid to rest, add them, if not- don't. Out of the thousands I've added only two are unknown- because one was cremated and the ashes were given to a family member, the other the body was donated to science. I will not attach memorials to unknowns.

PHOTOS : I generally allow useage; but I think it's courteous to ask first. If you're rude, don't expect a possitive response. Remember- the volunteers are doing YOU the favor.

EDITS/TRANSFERS : Use the Edit tab for the memorial in question. This is what it was designed for. I don't understand why people make extra work for themselves (leaving the memorial page to find the memorial caretaker's page to write a request) and for the person who needs to do the edits/transfers (they have to search their memorials to hopefully find the correct one YOU'RE talking about and if it's a transfer- track down the id number of the person it should go to.) PLEASE BE SPECIFIC I am receiving generic edits which contain a lot of information but no clear direction on what you want me to do with it. If it's a relationship link- use that edit tab etc. otherwise, it will not be dealt with- I have a job and a life outside of Find A Grave, I am willing to maintain the memorials made, but you have to meet me half way. I will not answer any requests left on my wall or in the flowers- so be kind and follow the rules of the site. Also, what was said about photos applies here, the edit tab is to suggest edits- demanding I change something will be seen as rude and will be ignored.
