I remember my grandpap Beals, he was tall 6'6" and James Thomas Meckley was almost a full head taller! I now knew where my son, Brian got his heighth. He's over 6'10" tall.

Who were the Meckley's and where did they come from?

I live a mile from where James Thomas Meckley and Mary Stagner Meckley raised their family until the mine closed and Mary died. He left the area with his two youngest daughters and not much was known after that.
