Flowers left for William Allen
Senator William Allen did an investigation in 1895 (along with several members of the Nebraska congressional delegation) into the controversy involving a land dispute on the Winnebago Indian Reservation, a controversy that almost ended in bloodshed. I have written a manuscript dealing with this issue, and am curious if any descendants of Allen's family are still around. If so, please contact me at: drey_samuelson@yahoo.com (and put my name in the subject line), or call me at 202-537-0584. Senator Allen was a good man, and certainly deserves to be remembered.
