Clinton Courier July 19,1973.Mrs.Disney Dies At Home In Lake City.Mrs.Hettie Lovely Disney,96,life-long Anderson County resident,died at 8p.m.July 11 at her home on Lake City Rt.1.,She broke her hip over 40 years ago and had not been able to get around well since.Mrs.Disney was the wife of the late William Rufus Disney,a miner and farmer,who died years ago.She was born and died on the farm where she resided most of her life.She enjoyed gardening and well known as an expert home maker.She took pride in the canning of fruits.She also raised vegetables and flowers.In the winter months,she pieced quilts.Mrs.Disney belonged to the now-defunction Presbyterian Church of Lake City.She is survived by three sons,Clarence andWoodrow Disney,both of Lake City,and Ed Disney of Clinton Rt.2.three daughters,Mrs.Annie Harmon of Lake City Rt.1.Mrs.Beulah Case of Columbus,N.C.and Katherine Proctor of Etowah, 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren.Graveside services were held at 11a.m. Saturday at thefamily cemtery near the home.The Rev.W.H.Beets and the Rev.Ray Jones officiated.
