Flowers left for George Pickett
When I was in 4th grade, I visited Gettysburg and was facinated by your statue. I came to realise how great of both a person and general you were. You hated the very thought of slavery, contrary to what many people think of Confederate generals. Though I am what you would have called a Yankee. I aplaud you for standing up for what you thought was right. You did not deserve to have your name tied to the infamous charge as you only following orders from General Longstreet. I hate for you to have died as a lonly insurance salesman. You deserved far better. I wear my beard and mustache exactly as yours in your honor. Thank you for your service to this great country.
