Flowers left for Judy Thomas
I have a sister who is a year younger than me & we used to play like you and Judy did. We used to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle, too. I have read this story before & come away crying because I can't imagine life without my sister, who is now 60. We didn't understand about death when we were little, either, except it meant that they went away & never came back & everyone was really sad. I wasn't allowed to go to funerals to say good bye, which I didn't think was fair at all. My mother thought she was protecting me, and as a result, the 1st funerals I went to were in high school for friends who had died in a car acc'd. when I was a Senior. The next week in Driver's Training, the teacher had me drive the same road they had taken & the telephone pole was being replaced as we drove by. I almost went off the road because I was so upset & the dumb teacher yelled at me. He never should have done that, but he was trying to make a point about driving too fast on curving roads. I think his timing was terrible, but I ended up passing the class anyway. I had a friend in Jr.High who was behind me in the cross walk one minute, and was hit by a car the next. She was out of school for the whole year & I used to go & visit her after she got home from the hospital a few months later. I saw her get hit & used to have nightmares about it. I am so sorry that Judy's life ended so early. She should have lived a full life with boyfriends, dates, marriage and children of her own. I know she's been up in Heaven watching over you as you've gone thru your life, and will be at Heaven's Gates (or the Rainbow Bridge) when your time here is done. You & Judy will be little girls again, running & playing in God's golden fields, laughing & just being kids for a while, as you go thru the different phases of your life and see all of the people who went before you, again. At least I think that might be how it works, but I don't know since I've not been there! But I know that Judy does watch over you and she is in Heaven with Our Saviour & His Angels. And you will see her again. You were a good cousin to her and still are in your heart. With Sympathy from Oregon,
- Kathie L. Webb Blair
