Flowers left for Robert Kinney
I worked with Bob and Tucker at WMCR in Oneida N.Y. in the late 60's and early 70's. I was a part-time high school student...didn't know ---- about anything in the broadcasting/people world...Bob Kinney ended that for me real quick. He taught me that the broadcast world is all about people...entertaining and informing...one on one. He would do 9 to Noon...Play his 45's and LP's...sing along with them...and read his commercials from his OWN copy book...nobody touched it but him...even Bill and Vivian Warren, owners, would let him do what he wanted. Early afternoons, he sang and played live. Every ounce a professional and a gentleman. Never spoke about the war...my dad and uncles never did either. All the radio and television stations I have managed...never met another "Barefoot Bob" Kinney...never will.
