Irving Hale, Manager and electrical engineer for General Elecric Co. at Denver. Was instructor of engineering United States Military Academy; electrical engineer, Colorado State School of Mines. Graduated at the U.S. Military Academy in 1884 with very high rank. Was appointed 2nd and 1st lieutenant engineering corps. resigning 1890. Served in Filipino campaigns, commanding 2nd Brigade, 2nd Div., 8th Army Corps. was wounded at Meycauyan, March 26, 1899; Won, in Atlantic rifle competition in 1888 gold medal and first skirmish medal. Contributes to scientific periodicals articles on electric subjects. Born Aug, 28, 1861, at North Bloomfield, N. Y.; son of Horace Morrison and Eliza (Huntington) Hale. Went to Colorado in 1865. Educated in the common and high schools of that state. Married June 14, 1887, to Mary Virginia, daughter of Lt. Col. William R. King. (From Who's Who in the World, 1912).
