Flowers left for Frances Farmer
Frances- I can't wait to put flowers on your grave, when I see the ones appropriate for you. The colors of fire: for such was your nature, your brilliance, your love of life, your honesty, the hell you went through, the strength you had in making a new life, and- I KNOW- the HEAVENLY BLISS you entered upon the day you left this earthly life. As one who is bipolar and who was made fun of by her peers from kindergarden through college, because I -just like you-am brave enough to be MYSELF, and who has cancer, believe me, I know in a small way what your terrible life was like. Seeing FRANCES and reading your autobiography, I was so heavily struck-and in AWE- of your horrible fate, but ultimate triumph. I selected the forget-me-not, because your BRILLIANCE and FIRE will NEVER be ignored or forgotten by those who are sensitive, intelligent and talented enough to know, admire and love you. I'm not a member, but I go to St. Joan of Arc's, where you did, often enough to thank the Lord for introducing me to you. How appropriate: she and you and I both were thought of as mad, and did burn for being who we were/are! I can't wait to drive from Indinapolis to Fishers to talk to you and to give you fall's fiery flowers. I KNOW through FAITH that Jesus took you to Heaven, and since then you have had only the joy and peace- and ability to do whatever your heart desires-for ETERNITY! MUCH LOVE and ADMIRATION, FELLOW ACTRESS AND WRITER!
