Flowers left for Gladys Heritage
We tried so hard to keep you,To capture every moment and pull you close,We told ourselves we would not let you go,Like a delicate flame we kept you sheltered from the wind,Just encase it might blow you out one night,Taking your light out of our line of sight, We prayed and cried, Trying to make sense of this seemingly senseless fight, Little did we know that it was to be in vain, For we can see now we had no idea,That God had commanded his angel's to sing,Angel's with voices so soft and dreamy, Angel's you used to know with voices on this earth that where heavenly,Softly and sweetly they sung a tune,A tune that lives unknown within you,A lullaby like your mother would sing for you,A warm song to make you feel safe, It starts off as a hum and then roams around your ear drums,All we could do was sit by your side, Or hear the news at a later time,Tears pouring from both eyes, For nothing can be done when those angel's harmonize,,They drift you into peace with each line they sing,Then they whisper "Come to rest, let peace be a part of thee."Then you cannot resist for a moment more, Your soul is carried away on the winds of time,Down to the ocean where the breeze blows wild, Your soul is placed into the ocean,Then with each wave that washes over you,A refreshing light awakes within you,All the while the angel's still sing,Relaxing your every whim,Then the wind's of time the angel's blew,Comes back to get you,Softly you are lifted up, High above the sky,Into lands that mystify,There angel's still sing that joyful tune,Louder as you get closer and closer still, Then suddenly they stop as you enter, Enter a place more incredible then a breathtaking picture,For they all come to greet you,Shaking your hands and welcoming you to your forever home, No more problems there, Just a place to happily roam. God Bless angel's they are always watching over us. Ryan K Selwyn 30.8.12 copyright.
