Flowers left for Robert Simon
Thank you sir for your military service to our great nation--one of many hundreds of shipmates who died together during WWII. Theirs was "The Greatest Generation," and they did not die in vain. These were some of America's "best seamen and fine young men"--and who hopefully will live in the history books, the hearts and minds of their family members and friends. All of them were "Warriors" in the truest sense of the word--never shirking their duties while staring death in the face over and over again. My personal salute to a very speical man; may you and your shipmates rest in peace and know that you are not forgotten. With sincerity and respect: Present . . . Arms!
